With every aspects of the interiors, the flower we select and the way we display those are the prior subject to the contemporary tastes and changing fashions.
Over the top center pieces are not any more fussy or formal, now a days it is relaxed and casual simplicity which seems to be effortless. We generally take a more natural approach with all the flowers we choose and put together, preferring a thrown-together and simple way hand-picked from-the-garden look, which appears to be effortless, but often is the result of the much skill.
Now a days, the designers are also using the flowers to add drama and accent to any space, displaying the flowers in a way that it become the actual decorative details. Acknowledging the complete decoration of any room, the flowers need to be chosen according to that. The pot or the vase is just as important as the flowers which we would put in those.

The basic commands of displaying the flowers are:

Decorating a home is all about getting the right balance and scale. Low arrangements must be widen than the container of the flower, but it should be half the height. Then display the flowers on the flat areas, so that they can be seen from the above parts. The taller stemmed flowers should be kept in containers of one or two times smaller than the flowers.
When you need to choose a container to keep the flowers, check out if the vase can hold water and can also show the floral delights. Any pot of any shapes and sizes would go better if it fulfills all the criteria.

Check all around the house including the cupboards, kitchen and other places for old bottles of milk, empty jars of jams, teapots, bowls, tins, tureens, liqueur bottles, egg cups, buckets- the lists can be endless and a small imagination would go a long way.
For better results, choose the color of the texture and flower and select the container according to that. Use your intuition, go for some experiment and have fun.

I appreciate all of the information that you have shared. Thank you for the hard work!
Interior design is not just about the “look” of a space, but also the feeling it evokes.
